If there is one thing which is sure to attract immediate attention or add a pizzazz, character, or attitude to a desi outfit I would definately have to say that it would have to be the neck design. Whether its the cut, embellishments or color, the neck design of a kameez is the major detail that must be paid attention to. Below are some of the neck designs that have attracted my attention!
I just had to write this post today, because I just had to share the amazing and innovative mission and project that N.M.N & Co. have undertaken.
This is a group of people who are very passionate about The Children’s Cancer Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. They wanted to find a way to raise money to help the hospital and its great and most necessary service, therefore they cam up with this project in which they sell fashionable jewelry and watchs, and 100% of the money that is received from the purchases customers make is given to the hospital to assist the children who are suffering from cance but do not have the resources to pay for their treatment. MashAllah what an awesome project! Furthermore, the jewelry they are selling are absolutely beautiful! These people should not only be commended but we should all help them by participating in helping them by making purchases so that they are able to raise more and more funds for this important cause. If you do not live in Pakistan, you can still order, and have the items shipped to a relative or friend who lives in Pakistan, so that they do not have to spend money on shipping international. If you would like make a purchase but do not have anyone in Pakistan to have your purchases shipped to, send me a message and we will arrange something for you.
May Allah protect and bless them and all who participate in this great project, and may Allah bless them with great success and help the unfortunate children who are suffering with a speedy recovery and may Allah give patience and strength to their parents and families. Ameen!

Just in case you hadn’t noticed lately the Mugahl or royalty designs are part of the latest desi fashion themes. And I have to say I love it! The style, flair and colors is what adds to the elegance and grace. The best part is that you don’t have to be a bride, or wedding guest to enjoy this style, since it can be incorporated into even your casual way.
One of the most important element in a Pakistani dresses has got to be color combination. Of course, many outfits look great in a single solid color, or a combined with the traditional gold or silver combo, but the mixture of colors adds more variety to your wardrobe as well as creativity. Above all else a eye-catching and striking color combination can really uplift you out in a crowd. On the other hand a subtle or subdued color combination can add grace and elegance to your outfit. Always remember that even the most simple, or mediocre dress can transform you and deliver endless compliments, if the color combination is eye-catching. Check out some of the color combinations I find very appealing.

While most are followin the long shirts with churidaars, or shirts with side panels, or farshi type shirts where the back of the shirt which is extra long. And while i love all these styles..I am so in love with the really long gowns. While they are not as common as the other trends, I am so liking this style. I find that since I like the gowns/maxis on myself the best, especially since putting on the extra pounds, this style still manages to make me feel elegant.
